ENDGAME 437 IDEAS for DEFINITIVE EDITION: * Better Balance: General Balance * Needs to start at level 2 difficulty (roughly the difficulty of the "south" area. * All resources should be SCARCER. * Ammo drops can probably be cut in half * Torches can probably be cut by 1/3 * Health and shielding together should probably be a maximum of 10 HP (cf. current 40) with only 4 of that being the shields. Shields should be found, not bought. Combat Mechanics/Enemy Types and behavior * Enemies should be more trigger-happy generally * Some enemies should try and snipe from outside LOS and turn "red" in fog (Thud) * Enemies should ignore friendly fire entirely (or at least be able to shoot through other enemies, see Thud) * Dragon enemy with Masive range (Lancer) * Ricochets (me) that reflect bullets back at you * XP only gained with sword kills * Revise XP maze for higher requirements * Randomize XP maze Level Generation: * Keys should deliberately be placed FURTHER AWAY from the entry points * I should find a way to speed up level generation (I think I can do at least two areas concurrently) * Stretch: Alternate level gen types (giant maze, house-type generation, BSP/rogue/Brogue-ish maybe?) * Levels should be larger generally. Level 1 should probably be a 2x1 or 1x2, Level 2 should be a 2x2, Level 3 should be a 3x2 and level 4 should be a 3x3 (of original cave type). Evil HQ should still be 1x1 or maybe be a 1x2.
